Our Mission:

STEAM Ahead is a non-profit organization that aims to uplift historically underrepresented communities by delivering transformative STEAM programs to close the education gap. We take intentional steps to educate, build communities, and foster social-emotional learning, instilling youth with the confidence to excel in both the classroom and beyond.

Our Focus Areas:

  • We create unique programming and curriculum focused on exposing students to various areas in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (S.T.E.A.M). Our signature programs include our Summer Learning Academy and STEAM Academy.

  • We partner with other organizations with similar goals to assist them in creating their S.T.E.A.M. programming. We advise on everything from concept development to student recruitment to implementation.

  • We connect students and families to various information and opportunities about S.T.E.A.M. and additional resources. We believe it takes a community to foster and grow a student's interest.

  • We prepare students with the knowledge, technical and personal skills to be ready to pursue a career in S.T.E.A.M. through both traditional and non-traditional pathways.

 
 

OUR Story:

STEAM Ahead

STEAM Ahead was founded in 2018 to help increase the number of underserved and underrepresented students who enter careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields and to create generational change for their families. Since we began, we are proud to have educated thousands of students throughout the Greater Boston, Brockton, Lowell, Lawrence and Framingham area and enrollment in our programs continues to grow. Many of our students, whose exposure to STEM was limited, are now interested in pursuing careers in these fields. We know firsthand that sometimes the first spark to finding your passion is being exposed to people and information that profoundly impact your life.
